July 2024 part 2

We had enjoyed a great lunch at Drapers Hall with the great and the good from the English wine industry. Oz Clarke, Susie Barrie and Peter Richards  compered the event as co-chairmen with flair. Surprised but delighted to carry off the WineGB 2024 Awards sparkling rosé trophy against stiff opposition. Well done to our winemaker, Daniel Ham, for his first wine for us, from beginning to end. 100% pinot. Lots more lovely, foaming wine to come from later vintages: 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023.

In the same month, we won the top award for sparkling at the Independent English Wine Awards, a great competition showcase for English still and sparkling wines, for our rosé 2020.

A mini stampede starts from the trade to carry our wine to those who have not heard that Winding Wood is quite good.
