Winter pruning commences. A gruelling month of removing last year’s canopy, selecting this year’s fruiting cane and spur (next year’s cane). Lots of tendrils wrapped around the wires need to be cut off carefully. Inspect each trunk for disease and heated wire for damage. We pack the cuttings into Grundon bags and drag them away for burning.
